1. Who we are
WriteClimb is a service operated by FrostPeak Ventures LLC, a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, USA (“FrostPeak”, “we”, “us”).
2. Accepting these terms
By using WriteClimb you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you have read and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
3. Your account
You sign in with an email address via magic link. You’re responsible for keeping access to that email address secure, since anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you.
One account per person. Don’t share accounts, don’t use someone else’s email, don’t create accounts to evade usage limits.
4. Free analysis, trial and subscriptions
One free analysis per new account. No card required. Further analyses require an active subscription. An eligible first subscription includes a 3-day trial with a card required. Returning subscribers may be charged immediately. No subscription charge is made during an eligible trial. Cancel before it ends to avoid the first subscription charge.
Subscriptions are available as Weekly, Monthly, or Annual plans, billed through Stripe, our payment processor. Pricing on the pricing page is in US dollars.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; access continues until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
5. Refunds
We offer a 3-day, no-questions refund on your first subscription payment. Full details on our refund policy page.
6. AI grading is feedback, not certification
WriteClimb uses the official IELTS Writing Band Descriptors to structure AI feedback. AI scores are practice estimates for individual answers. They can differ from an examiner’s judgement and do not guarantee an IELTS result. These estimates are not an official IELTS result.
Only the official IELTS test, administered by British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English, produces a recognised IELTS band score. WriteClimb is not affiliated with any of those organisations. Do not use WriteClimb scores for university admissions, visa applications, or any official purpose.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit essays that aren’t your own work, or that you don’t have permission to submit.
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the service.
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or rate limits.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose under US, Wyoming, or your local law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice. Where reasonable we’ll warn first.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the essays you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a limited licence to process them in order to provide the grading service (which includes sending them to our AI provider).
The grading output we return (band scores, rubric breakdowns, annotations, suggested rewrites) is yours to use freely for your own preparation. We don’t claim copyright over it.
Published sample essays. Your analyses are private by default. After receiving a report for a library question, you can separately choose to publish your answer, estimated band and feedback as a public sample. We ask for affirmative consent before publication. Public pages can be indexed and cached by search engines. Publishing anonymously omits your account identity; it does not remove personal details you include in the essay. Review the text before publishing. Automated screening can miss personal information. You grant us a licence to display the sample until you remove it. You can unpublish from your account; search-engine and third-party copies may remain after removal from our site.
9. Our content
The website itself, the question library, sample analyses, design, code, and brand are owned by FrostPeak. You may use them for personal IELTS preparation. You may not republish, resell, or rebrand them.
10. Service availability
We aim to keep WriteClimb available 24/7, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not offer a formal uptime SLA. We may take the service offline for maintenance, upgrades, or in response to abuse.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FrostPeak Ventures LLC, its owners, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of WriteClimb, including but not limited to lost opportunities, IELTS test results, or admissions outcomes.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold FrostPeak harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the service.
13. Termination
You can stop using WriteClimb at any time by cancelling your subscription and asking us to delete your account (hello@writeclimb.com). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change, and for material changes we’ll notify active users by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Wyoming.
