Start the drill →Understanding the criterion
Coherence & Cohesion considers how ideas are organised and connected across the response. Linking expressions, reference, substitution and paragraphing can all help. These drills practise particular choices and sequences; a whole response is needed for IELTS assessment, and effective paragraphs can use different structures.
When a drill feels easy, write a full essay and see whether CC holds up under exam pressure.
